One thing I like about running is tracking my times and distances and what I’ve learned about my running is that every 10 pounds costs me a minute.
See, there’s been some stress eating and even though I’ve continued running and even added some other exercises via Nike Training Club, I’ve been locked in about 20 pounds heavier than I was at the beginning of 2020. But thanks to my running app, which is Nike Run Club, I’ve been able to see the difference in my times. And yup, I run about 1 minute slower per 10 pounds.
I didn’t set out to find this information, it was more a discovery over time. (Get it?)
Anyway, I’m working harder on the diet and continuing the running and exercise and I’m on the right road. I saw some improvement this week in both my pace and my weight.
But last year wasn’t all bad. Even with my times getting slower in 2020, I did log more miles than I have at any time in the last five years, so I’m pumped for that and looking forward to more miles and faster times, though not too fast. I like to enjoy the runs.
Keep on hitting that road my friends
