Astro Rider or Writer Takes off for Chalk Creek

Say hello to our first logo Astro Rider!

The pen and ink rendering was developed to play on the idea of a “Writing Outfit” and was in keeping with our western sensibilities here. Because we’re not a typical writing outfit and stuck in any one genre, the astronaut on the pony came about as the drawing took shape over a few days.

We felt that the running horse represents our running and our writing being grounded in reality, while the astronaut is the epitome of exploration in this universe and appeals to our more fantastical flights of imagination. It’s all set upon a pen, of course.

Astro Rider was clearly the most popular of the four designs we created for this, with Picasso Knight coming in second.

We hope you like it!

Keep writing, keep running.
