Well, you know how it is when you’re a runner and you got a nagging injury. You just figure it’ll go away eventually so you keep running.
I’ve been doing that for some time with a hip flexor strain. I can say I finally, actually, did what you’re supposed to do. I rested it and didn’t run for more than a week.
Okay, okay, yes that was because the air was toxic here due to the fires in California. But still, I did actually get some rest in and when I did finally get out there this morning under the blue skies and real clouds, I felt wonderful.
So I guess I do just need to slow it down a bit and be patient with injuries and the environment. That’s probably good advice for other areas of my life as well.
